Latest workshop “Institution-Centred Conflict Studies: Research Methods and Teaching in the Caucasus” (ICCS) took place in Nalchik 22 March - 2 April, 2016. The workshop was hosted by North Caucasian Higher School of Conflict Studies in Kabardino-Balkarian State University. The event participants represented Adyghe State University, Abkhazian State University, and Shota Rustaveli State University. They presented the outcomes of the undertaken research and charted a path for further investigations.

The workshop was also marked by public consideration of two projects implemented by North Caucasian Higher School of Conflict Studies: “Institution-Centred Conflict Studies: applied research methods and teaching in the Caucasus” and “Sources for Stability and Instability on the Caucasus,” the latter supported by FP7 program of the European Union. The discussion involved presentation of the main results and research problems and highlighted linkages between theory and practice.
