Summer School “Institution-Centred Conflict Studies: Research Methods and Teaching in the Caucasus” (ICCS) took place in Tegenekli, Elbrus District of Kabardin-Balkaria, 2-27 August, and Shota Rustaveli State University, Batumi, 18-27 August. The workshop hosted experts and students from various regions of Russia (Adygea, Kabardin-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Chechnya, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don etc.) and foreign universities (Batumi, Tbilisi, Sukhum, Berlin, Bielefeld, Marburg). Participants underwent trainings in theory and methodology of Conflict Studies and Sustainable Development and conducted and array of field studies across Kabardin-Balkaria having used the opportunity to get acquainted with nature and social life in republic and to further use their new skills of empirical studies.
